During my first five years of practicing law, I tried 25 jury trials. Most of those were tort cases where I represented both plaintiffs and defendants. As my career continued my experience grew, I handled mass tort cases, including the tobacco litigation, the cell phone litigation, latex glove litigation, and a similar case to Erin Brockovich.

The scope of my practice also expanded to include employment and complex business litigation.

Ellen represented a chemical company in a wrongful death case. She successfully settled the matter at mediation favorably for her client
Defended a double death case that settled for a nominal amount at mediation

Employment

Ellen defended a gas company against an employee who claimed racial discrimination. She obtained a dismissal of the case on a motion for sanctions against the plaintiff. The plaintiff's attempt to appeal was unsuccessful.

Ellen successfully defended a chemical company in numerous suits involving contractors allegedly exposed to asbestos. These cases involved numerous parties and spanned decades.

Ellen served as co-counsel for a pharmaceutical company suing Anderson Consulting for breach of contract, fraud and other theories. Ellen conducted interviews of key witnesses all over the country.

Ellen served as co-counsel representing 3600 individuals on an environmental contamination case involving personal injury and property claims The case settled favorably for her clients

Personal Injury

Ellen served as co-counsel on a personal injury case on behalf of an injured worker and his wife. The jury awarded over seven million dollars to the husband and wife. The case was settled after the verdict at mediation.

Pharmaceutical

Ellen served as local counsel in Georgia for Bayer in cases involving strokes allegedly caused from taking cold medicine. Ellen assisted with procedural and discovery issues.
